After endless revisions to Hexmag’s concept, the first 3D prototype was shown to the gun community in early 2013. Months were devoted to fine-tuning Hexmag’s proprietary fiber-reinforced polymer. While we were at it, we dreamt up a tool-less design, pioneered an ammunition ID system and created Hexmag’s very own Grip Tape to complement our magazine’s one-of-a-kind hexagon design. In the fall of 2013, Hexmag incorporated. By March of 2014, Hexmag officially sold its first AR15 magazine, and with that introduction, we broke the mold. In October 2017, SENTRY Products Group purchased Hexmag and moved headquarters to Virginia Beach, VA.
